WDA application garbled in SAP ESS after stack upgrade

Dear,

we had a recent stack upgrade on NW7.4 from SP12 to SP 13. Portal NW 7.31 SP18.

After this upgrade, we see that once we log in portal and try to access WDA applications, the entire thing is garbled.

we have a role for associate with some properties. Properties for Application Parameters etc are set in SPRO Home Page Framework where all page headers, sub areas, services, are defined.(Menu area etc)

Issue is with only these WDA applications that have this layout issue.

so once logged in ESS, below screen is displayed.

and once WDA application like Personal Profile is clicked, the screen is garbled. Any pointers to resolve this are helpful.
